There are multiple ways you can format the menu, it all depends on the structure that helps you to make your point. Remember to keep in mind of your audience, for example in the case of a portfolio, you want to use your own experience or knowledge to show your accomplishments and strengths.

Something to keep in mind when choosing a menu option as well as formatting your writing:
  • is there anything you want to highlight the most?
  • How do you intend to connect your stories?
  • Does your structure give your audience a clear understanding of what to expect?

Option1 – Places visited

You can choose to separate the sections based on the different places you visited.

This sample portfolio menu relates to a certain theme that serves as the focus for each place you visit, you can organize the menu as places visited and use all of these places to make a point.

Sample menu organization is shown here:

Spain – menu section1

Spain:

When traveling in Spain, I was fascinated by the musical environment and arts scene, the flamenco….

Colombia – menu section2

You can choose to put more pictures and connect each place visited to your story or some context that builds up to the point you are trying to make

Argentina – menu section3

More explanation and connection ……

Option2 – Lessons learned

If you have specific lessons learned as a result of multiple experiences and find your portfolio to be better structured with sections explaining what you accomplished and learned from different experiences, it’s a good option to organize the sections of the menu based on what you learned.
